Polyurethane shifter bushings fcked after 5yrs?
Installed some Kartboy polyurethane shifter bushings about 4 years ago. Have traveled about 16,000kms in that time. Shifter slop is back (left-right), it feels like the car has rubber bushings after 200,000kms.
Is it possible for polyurethane bushings to wear this quickly?? |

Have you pulled up the shifter boot to check to see if its dropped out?

Nope, and that's what Im starting to think now... that somethings dropped, cracked, slipped, etc. When I think about it, it came on rather quickly....

Found the problem. Jacked the car up and got the g/friend to wiggle the shifter left to right. Fairly certain this wasnt replaced when I upgraded to 6 six, all the Kartbox bushings are light grey, this one is black so Im assuming its factory.
I've attached a zip file, which inside contains a video I took using my iPhone this arvo. |
