Default Is my downpipe costing me power

Hi Guys,
My car has 192kw atw, my tuner reckons he can't get anymore out of it.
He puts it down to the downpipe(it's a Xforce).
If this is true what is a good downpipe to go for and will it fit onto my existing system and how much?
Also would a decent downpipe help me reach my target of 200kw atw?

Cheers,

P.S. only mod's are 3"tbe, fuelpump and Tek3.

It will help you reach your target but i dont think that alone will get you there, mey need a bit more work as that figure already includes an aftermarket downpipe, so there wont be much of a gain there, just better flow

The XForce down pipe is a Bell Mouth type right?

Get you hands on a splitter type. It has a separate smaller pipe for the wastegate gases, and then re-joins the main pipe a bit furter down. Its separates the gases and reduces turbulence within the pipes and therefore increases flow.

post a picture of your dyno sheet, that paints a better picture of what is holding it back.

Don't have boost graph but from memory 18 psi around 3000rpm peaking @ 18:5 around 4400rpm down to 16psi @ 5600rpm.

Cheers,

looking at that dyno sheet, i'd say the car isnt being pushed nearly as hard as it could,
with a turbo car- when you reach the limits of the turbo you should have a peak in more of a triangle shape rather then a wide gradual spread. and whats with cutting the run short at 5600 rpm? 2.5's have at least another 1000'rpm left in them...

i'd call for more boost, or at least you need more dyno time to get that tuned properly

What ive seen from STEVE he doesnt like to push the limits of the car. He even took my bleed valve litraly lol all i wanted was 20psi ..hes keept it on 17psi
Its good to keep it safe but alittle more boost would make it reach 200kw atw maybe??!!

17psi is farrrk all. u should be running 20psi. he is just protecting his ass, at your expense.

Yep I got the impression my tuner wasn't putting in 100% less than 2 hours on the dyno!!!
What do u reckon I could get out of it(I might have to try the other Ecutek tuner)

20PSI and get a good electronic boost controller to help hold boost all the way to the redline.
