Default ABS light won't turn off

Hey peeps.

My gf has a '96 wrx and the ABS light is on constently

It happened just after I had the FMIC fitted. From the looks of things, the piping going from the cooler to the turbo is actually sitting pretty hard up against the ABS solenoid thingy . I don't know myself, if this is whats causing the light to stay on, but its all I can think of.

I have checked all connections etc (under backseat engine bay), tried adjusting the piping so it no longer touchs, but nothing.

Fats is gunna look at it for me sometime this week, but because it has the uni-chip, apparently this has to be disconnected so its a bit of a hassle?

Just wondering if anyone has any input at all, on anything else I may have missed/not checked etc or any other suggestions as to why this stupid light won't turn off

Your help is greatly appreciated guys.

Cheers, Mat

Have a look at your rear brake lights. Does it work?

It could be disconnected. Check all the wiring loom from the ABS module and see if there's a broken link, could be as simple as a harness being disconnected during the fitment of the FMIC that wasn't put back on.
Check the fuse as well in the fuse box.

Take the section of the FMIC piping that is touching the ABS module and see if the light still comes on. Long shot, but could be an earth issue. I can't see this as a reason but hey, worth a try
