you'll gain 50 grams of red paint, thats it- no improvement.

The TGV delete on the STi maybe useful but you'll need a full replacement ECU to get rid of the CEL error that will pop up.
Then again you don't need to get the STI manifold for the TGV delete, you can mod your existing manifold, for the same affect, minus the red paint.

ditto, get the TGV's if you can, or you can weld and port the stockers.

mine has no issues with TGV missing :laughing7

intra... will that increase the fuel consumtion?

kenneth2koh 03-10-2006 09:57 PM

and also some one has say soemthing abt the manifold

See if this is true... its abt having a STi manafold with 02 STi tmic, and decap'd injectors. Its alot cheaper than buying injectors.???

wat do u think?

any form of modding that increases power will increase fuel consumption. you flow more air, more fuel gets burnt.

the thread you're refering to is based on a GC8 (MY99/00) getting a sti manifold, which allows the older shape WRX the option of using the newer age injectors, so you can just get a set of subaru injectors and decapped them (after flow testing them), instead of spending $$ on aftermarket injectors like sard, etc.

in your case, if you're already running a MY01 onwards WRX, you won't need use an STi manifold (unless you want to get the TGV deletes and don't want to mod your current manifold to get rid of the TGVs). you can get a set of MY01 onwards injectors and decap them if you don't want to use your own injectors.

Well.. i guess this is living proof it can be done.

I currently run a vf28 turbine, sti spec manifold (one piece), decapped injectors and silicone intake pipe..

controlled with a stock ecu.

Idles perfect
Cranks first time
Closed loop works
Injectors max at 55% (so i've got bucketloads to go if needed)

pete, fair to say that its easier to "control" decapped stock injectors with stock ecu than and aftermarket ecu controlling aftermarket injectors?
