Nitrogen tyre fill
This may be a noobie question and sorry if its a repost. Just drove past a tyre shop in ossy park with a sign outside saying they will fill tyres with Nitrogen. Whats the benefit????

Pressure fluctuates less with changes in heat and is dry as opposed to air from atmosphere which does contain moisture and can condense inside your tire.
i actually asked about getting mine filled and i was told it really isnt worth it
Definitely worth it for track work, but wouldn't bother for road.
But for track work you'd want to be adjusting your tyre pressures based on the temp of the day yeah?
BIG waste of money

Of course...but you tend to start high and decrease...if you want to increase then air is OK. |
My tyres have about 78.084 % nitrogen in them
Waste of money. Fill at BP with normal air. It's Free!

Unless you're on good terms with the tyre shop and dont pay any extra :D |
i had mine filled with nitrogen, but when i had a service, they let it out and filled with normal air saying there was not much point unless i was gonna be doing track work.
i have nitrogen in my tyres, mainly coz it doesnt cost me anything. But over a 3 month period i only drop about 0.8psi from my tyres (last time round ne way)
