Question Weird wiring project

Hi,

I'm new here an all but I've come with a quite strange request. Im planning on installing high lumen led lights in my 2009 Impreza for when I'm driving in Roo territory, however I would like to avoid blinding oncoming drivers in urban environments (personally find the drivers who have the power of the sun on their front face infuriating).

I don't find myself using my dash luminance controls at all (as In the wheel to the door side on the driver's side), so I would like to find a way to use those controls to control the voltage to my headlights instead. Following lighting diagrams proved more difficult than I thought as I can't find that potentiometer on the diagrams. I know it's really obscure and odd but each to their own, right? Any help is appreciated, thanks

I had a look.
Looks like its pretty well tied into the controller in the cluster.
Even if you could pull the plug out the back of the wheel and just bridge it for full noise like you could with an older model, that wheel would still need some sort of controller to be able to control anything else.

It wouldn't be capable of taking full current of anything, so would need to be used to control the output of a unit that could.

You could always just flick to low beam when there's oncoming traffic. Seems to work well.

Your BIM isn't capable of controlling the voltage to LED headlights

My advice is install a light bar behind the grill with a smart wiring harness for the negative trigger Subaru use.
