Clutch Squeaking?
Just noticed today when i depress the clutch it makes a squeaking noise, almost like it isn't lubricated enough. I have no idea what it could be.
The car feels normal though, nothing out of the ordinary. Also, if i push it in REALLY slowly, it feels strange, like it's restrained or something. Edit: Car has 36,000km. Help, please. |
I have the same in my MY03, the guys at RMS checked it out and said it was normal, nothing to worry about...
|
could be the thrust bearing spring, that is known to start squeaking.
|
WD40 on teh spring up from the pedal, happens on my car every now and then, farkn annoying
|
My clutch rattles when I turn my car off :(
WD40 ftw huy... |
It's weird. Some days it makes the noise, other days it won't. The noise sounds exactly like a door squeaking (from noisy hinges).
|
is the from the clutch pedal? if so then lube it up.
|
mine squeaks in the mornings bit of dryglide and she's squeak free for a while...i asked rms to replace what ever bush needs replacing when the put my new clutch in and they said the bush is fine its just a squeaky one. Normal i guess...

hey Huy
maybe i can help u on this one i had this happen to my car for the last 2 weeks or so, and yesterday i brought it in to city subaru and they automaticately knew wat was wrong. The thrust bearing!!!! they ripped it all apart and replaced a new one under warrenty and now its GREAT things i noticed when the clutch was squeaking 1. the noise is from the engine bay and not the pedal 2. it happens only after a decent drive, time wise, or in hot weather, but never when the car is cold or left overnight 3. the clutch pedal feels course, hard to explain but like as if steppin on a bottle of sand, u could definatly feel the difference between the good and bad days. other than that it engages just fine get it checked out if u still have warrenty cos i think its a pretty common problem |
That sounds exactly like what's happening to mine. Any idea cost wise?
I don't think i can claim anything on warranty. |
