Engine transplant

What's required to do a full engine transplant?, eg to V7 STi
Would u need all the wiring loom as well?

with a motec,

bugger all, a few wires for avcs (5) and thats it

pmh 21-08-2005 07:55 PM

cool. The wires for the AVCS shouldn't be too complicated.

all the late model STis came with AVCS?

lastly, any difference between the late model STi engines

XRW 147 23-08-2005 04:48 PM

All the 02+STis did Joe

Nothing major Joe. Things like cast pistons instead of so called "forged" in the 03+STis. Pollen filter in 04+STis.

afaik i dont beleive theres any difference, yet ive heard of people poping motors on less boost and power then im doing, so i wouldnt know for sure.

yup 100% stock internals, only change was v6 sti cams over the v7 avcs sti cams

pmh 24-08-2005 03:26 PM

any reasons why you're not running the AVCS now with the tec?
