External Wastegate
 

Looking at External wastegates but dont really know what im looking for.
does the turbo have to be modified? once it has been is it rooted permanently? any other mods need doing? brands recommended or to be avoided? How much dosh to allow? its going on a vf24 in a gc8.

dont need one unless ur going with a larger turbo than a VF series imo.. just a waste of expense to get it done..

External on a VF24!!!

Not necessary and a big waste of money on a vf24 or any VF turbo for that matter.

No worries then. Was more after noise than anything =)

If you want noise get a custom twin dump design where the internal gate vents to atmo instead of plumbed back into the exhaust!

I dont know why you would want to go throught all the hassels though!
