07 wrx turbo swap

Hi guys, got a 07 as some of you know. I'm want to put a aftermarket turbo on it, got a vf34 but i think i want more power than they can haddle. With all mods done and tuned i wanting 320-350hp atw. I know this can't be done with the 34, what turbo can make this power and roughly at what cost. Green???? hks???? Please help Thanks ppl.

whats wrong with the vf34?

trainwrex 15-01-2007 07:56 AM

ur 07 will blow up with that sort of power, they run a higher ratio than the older wrxs to give them more response. The green likes big boost 1.5 bar or so. that will give u the power that u want.

I thought the reason they "had more response" was the extra 500cc?

and I'd have thought a VF34 was fine, seeing as the STi runs a similar sized turbo (VF43)

if you want more power, why not put a p20 exhaust housing on your vf34? They regularly get put up for sale on rexnet.

Since you already have the vf34, this would be the cheapest and most effective power upgrade for you.

ok thanks all i will try some of these ideas and maybe stick with the 34

are the 07 wrx 2.5?? i thought they were only 2ltrs and the stis 2.5s?

FFOUR 15-01-2007 09:14 AM

I'm making 280hp atw with a VF34 and basic supporting mods, so there is no reason why it can't get to the figures you're after.

Very impressive numbers Janny boy

PIGSTIWGN 15-01-2007 03:29 PM

280hp on a 34!! thats good. If i go a slightly larger turbo and put some more boost then i should be able to get 300ish. Cheers mate..........i may even stick with the 34 and try and get it

Sirix has an 06 WRX (same as 07) with a TD05 20G - PSR440
300HP ath and only 16.5 psi.

18-19psi should see 320 HP

On a hub dyno yeh?

I have the PSR460 TD05/06 20G with plenty of other supporting mods and I see 300hp at 17psi but on a mainline dyno
