Bel STi or V1 Radar Detector
 

Hey guys, i was thinking of getting one of the bel sti detectors but have found out they are been discontinued to make way for the new model magnum so the price has been dropped dramatically.

According to delonix article the US version STi Driver is the exact same as the AUS version STi XR. The Aus version retails for $799 but the STi driver just over $400 US. They are selling out extremely fast with only 10 left and there was 15 yesturday so was wondering if anyone was interested and we could save on combined shipping, if we get 5 i think we are looking at roughly $390-$400 AUS delivered!! Even cheaper if we get it delivered to the same address!

Do these also pick up the "new" radar cameras in the back of the vans/4WDs like the Valentine V1?

The STi do pick up the poliscans but not well when set up in reverse i believe. After emailing the supplier in US he has also recommended the V1 for WA. The only reason i thought the STi was for the stealth if wanting to use it in other states. But really how many times am i going to drive interstate, not many i guess so he has suggested to go the V1 which is $80 more.

Think its worth it? $480 delivered to the 1 address with 1 year warranty.

If absolute best laser pickup is your aim then V1. Reverse pickup in most cases is a notice that you have just past one although I have had some reflected laser warnings.

You can switch Ka and K band on for country drives.

Well seems like we have most interest for the V1 detector, anyone else keen to jump on board?
