Sorry not to bag out PSR they're great :D
but for that price only for shocks/springs would be better for coilover?

cant get the HSD/tein/ebay spec in the new aged impreza?

Jon911 27-01-2012 11:58 AM

The way I see it, the main advantage of having a coilover is for the adjustability.

I really only Daily Drive my car so I want performance without having it too harsh, with a track day if I ever have the time to do so. I think the bilsteins will survive a track day or so without an issue. I can buy a cheap coilover and turn it to soft for DD, but what's the point?

I don't need the drop of a coilover and the last thing I want to do later on is have to worry about rebuilding if something occurs.

That's just the way I see it though.

I know HSD make a kit for the MY11, I had a set in the car for 18000km :p

I'm with Jon though, my car isn't a dedicated track car (doubt it will ever be) and thus the requirement for a set of coilovers isn't there.
However the stock suspension needs replacing to make it handle that bit better and from the people I have spoken to who have these installed in their cars, it lies in between stock and coilovers and does a bloody good job.

They also have proven themselves to be a good enough package for the odd skid pan and track days.

Rexxar,

Yes you are probably right, but these are really the step in between a coilovers and a normal Shock/Spring upgrade.
The handling on these is very very impressive but dont have the need to go out and track it. 90% of people who get coilovers useally get the settings they like and then leave them. Never to adjust again. These are prob the best shock/spring combo on the market hands down.

But if people do want Coilovers we do have the ZS coilovers that are very well priced and also getting great results
- Are both fronts and rears non-adjustable?
The rears have a height adjustment on them, fronts aren't adjustable from what I've read.
The rear shocks feature an adjustable SIR CLIP for + 5 mm, +10 mm or -5 mm, -10 mm rear ride height.
Source

As for the spring rates.
Spring rates are an aggressive 330 lbs/in front and 335 lbs/in rear
Quick google found these rates.

I'll ask Jon to insert a table of interested parties in the OP.

Have 2 for the GB so far, looking for another 3.
