4 Wheel Drive Tracks

Ok with the upcoming Easter break and what not, I'm looking at heading out and finding some nice 4WD tracks to head down (not in the WRX obviously  )

Can anyone recommend any tracks or any maps? Haven't done anything like this in the Perth area before, so any places to go would be nice.

Cheers,

John

Western Power Access Road out back of Kalamunda way is 1 suggestion

We used to go up to the end of marmion and go out towards Pippidinny Rd. Not sure U can do that anymore because of the subdivision's going on out there. But that was fun, and when you make it to the beach, you can get out and go for a swim/fish or just chill out. Good times!

John - are u doing this in the parental's Merc?

Lancelin, Wedge island. Shitloads up there, spots to camp and what not aswell. Been up there many times, theres a lot of bush tracks and large area of shifting sands with good hills, decents and JUMPS!!! :p

Also go along Toodyay Road and when you get to the top of the hill there is a gravel turn off. Its easy to miss but theres some nice tracks through there. Kalamunda Powerline track aint bad either.

Also out to Jarrahdale if your game, Kitty's Gorge is a great track

Yup definately looking at Lancelin / Wedge... Just don't know where to go! Since parentals will be with me, need to keep it smooth and have an idea which direction to go.

Kym: Yes :D

I did some for wheel driving on the way out of the carpark at challenge stadium after little britain live... was more like 3 wheel drive though as couldnt keep them all on the ground at the same time.

in all seriousness alkimos?

wouldnt the tyes on a roadgoing Merc suck on the beach? cant exactly let tyre pressures down to help lol low profiles?

Kato 26-03-2007 07:05 PM

Tyres won't be a problem. They are far from low profile.

Was just looking at where to start around Perth for a nice little run. I've found a few guides that seem to be useful so far, just wondering if anyone has some spots they could direct me to. Similar to some of the nice cruise roads in Perth, but more offroad.
