i can understand were the police r comin from with this... better to have no dirvers licence then be dead right. but obviously won't affect the 99% of safe drivers on our roads.

Hopefully they arrest and fine as many people as possible.. Being double demerits you WILL see a huge number of people start loosing their licenses soon.

Then in 6 months time (because they are so far behind) you'll start seeing more and more unlicensed drivers on the roads and thats going to become a major issue. Throw in more and more people getting killed and hopefully people will start seeing that saving lives on WA roads has nothing to do with higher demerit points, fines or cracking down on hoons. Its about better roads, safer cars and some decent driver education.

Lol Stace, did u read that before giving this thread a title... or is it just coincidence.

I think its a good idea, i dont know why they dont do this all the time. If someone is going 45ks over the speed limit or drunk then why hold back they are an ovious risk

So true. There are so many people out there who have no idea on the
basics like keep left unless overtaking, indicating and merging to mention
a few.

Apparently two people died last easter holidays and another two the year before.

This year im predicting that to double at least ;) As much as it sucks to the families and friends it will affect, heavy handed tactics wont work.

However, if you have a criminal mind, it appears this easter W/E will be a good time for B&E's :p All the police will be chasing hoons allowing you to rape and pillage the local suburbs!

mr_psi 01-04-2007 06:25 PM

olite 01-04-2007 07:49 PM
