Just seen on East Parade. Testing 2 new types as part

Now we know why there isn't any legeslation to put a speed governer cars. They would lose too much revenue! Let's do the math, buy half a dozen new speed cameras @ $300,000+ = $1,800,000+. Factor in an average speeder at 10 klicks over = $150ea (I think, they keep putting it up). This means they would need to catch 12,000 average speeders just to make their money back. After that it's all profit to be put back into buying new cameras to put on major arterial roads that are harder to detect and easier to hide so they can catch even more speeders!

They use laser instead of radar and can cover the total width of the freeway. Can ping both directions at the same time.

I drove past those today. They kept flashing at cars in front of me, and also when i passed. I was only doing 55 or so, though. I guess they were testing it out.
