Old News......... they actually test drove that car on top gear..... Jeremy said its was awsome....... but there not producing it....... it just shows what they could do if they wanted to... bummer would be one wicked car to own...... :)

comes with anti-lag... i read that with the anti-lag system they would possibly be able to downsize engines from 2.0L to 1.0L without compromising power, but increasing economy by 25%...

2010 Subaru 1.2L Turbo?? The v8 guys will have a field day with that.. no longer will they be compared with milk and juice, but they will compare us to a 1.25L bottle of pepsi... siq!

I would love to know how long the engine lasts with the antilag setup running.

Lorry 26-04-2007 10:25 AM

I heard the antilag they use in this thing is the same as what is in the WR cars. Aparently its safer to use as it has a throttle bypass valve that feeds air directly into the exhaust manifold, which then ignites with the fuel rich exhaust. The combustion is confined to the exhaust manifold and lowers the temperatures and pressures involved.

The last paragraph there explains it.
