Any PSP gurus out there?
I recently bought a Sony PSP and have upgraded the firmware to 3.4oe-a (custom firmware) so that I can play downloaded games, along with a host of other benefits.
Now, how the hell do I play a downloaded (***.iso) game?? Anyone know? Thanks in advance. |

you copy the iso onto the mem stick, and a iso reading program.
open browser, were you type in a website you type the adress of the iso reading program .exe the program will open allowing you to open the game.iso and play it. having said that i havent used my psp since homebrew first came out.

Hello Vert
If you have that version of Firmware all you need to do is copy the iso into the iso directory in the mem stick. You then go to the game menu on the psp - go to the mem stick and you should see the iso (looks the same as if the UMD) is in the drive. Just click the X and it should load. I am using it and I have tested a lot of my backups and all work except DUB. Even the latest games available work. Sony has put out a new firmare already so soon the new games will require it but for now it is all good. If you have any problems I would reformat the memory stick. (From the system menu) It will set the stick up so you will get the ISO directory on the stick. I have been messing with the PSP since it came out and this new firmware 3.4oe-a is the best and easiest to use - no loading dev or anything. The great thing about running the iso from me stick is it is much faster to load the game when playing. If anyone needs help either downgrading back to 1.5 or upgrading to the 3.4 drop me a msg. I have done a few machine now and havn't bricked one yet. Regards Kelly |

Oops I forgot to say when you load an Iso you will need a original UMD in the drive. I think the demo disk will work.

Thanks for the replies guys - Tukel, you are right on the money there, I did figure it out before I read your post, it did take me about 4 hours of farting around though!
Can't get Metal Gear Acid or Tom Clancys Splinter Cell to work though? I did find a SNES and a N64 emulator too - old skool! cheers. |
