Premium Warranty From Ozzy Park??

When i purchased my beast i got sucked into purchasing the premium extended warranty for used cars. It states it will cover $2K of each claim made........ I rang subaru the other day enquiring whether I can get my service done by another workshop without voiding my extended warranty..They stated it must be done by their workshop otherwise it will void the extended warranty..is this true????

I would read the fine print of 'THEIR' contract. If it states this then yeh its true.

Kato 24-08-2007 02:08 PM

That would be true.

Those warranties they offer with 2nd hand vehicles are only for that dealership and have their own clauses on them (i.e. only serviced by them).

This is why I think they aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Yes, you need to get it done there.

Warranty.. whats that? :D

Sorry to say, but you bought a harrier warranty (3 yrs up to 175,000kms) which isn't worth the paper it's written on. I have been involved in the car yards for over 5 years now and have sold many of those exact warrantys. You have to get the car serviced thru any AHG dealer. They will find any reason not to pay out on any claim, do not modify your car at all...seriously they are super pedantic and the will try to "sell" you extra's exery service ie: coolant flush, wipers, air cond sys check...just a licence for them to print money.
My advice, write off the money you spent on the warranty and take your car to a workshop you know and trust.
