computer recyclers?
 

just trying to do the right thing, is there anywhere that will take old computers/monitors for recycling rather than me dumping it in the rubbish?

Yeah, i do computer and laptop recycling.
Most get refurbished and sent to places like Uganda where the less fortunate can have a computer.
To cover our costs, some get sold to local small resellers who usually sell on gumtree.

At least he didn't start a new thread AND the cause seems worth while and the African nation isn't Nigeria ...

We tried to recycle a few hundred PC's, a lot of which were in good working condition. Ended up with a bit of a bill.

Prefer to give to schools, people in need now, just means we/i I have wipe them all before handing them over which is time consuming/pain in the arse/friday arvo job.

Got about 30 laptops at the moment.
