anyone here do martial arts?
i did some karate as a kid and was looking at taking it up again?
any good styles/places north of the river that anyone can recommend?
and what kind of prices are they charging nowadays?

have done a little bit of kick boxing. on break since surgery/recovery.

want to pick up brazilian ju jitsu.

pretty sure luke does bjj aswell.

Did taekwondo for many years at competition level

ATI martial arts was one of the bigger ones - based in malaga

Depends on what you are trying to get out of it (kinda like a motor build ay?).

General fitness, not too much commitment and time try Rhee Tae Kwon Do or Shotokan Karate, branches in most suburbs. Very structured, physical, quite effective.

Commitment to martial arts (you really better have it) Wing Chun Kung Fu, Choy Lay Fut, Muay Thai. Dependant on your ability/willingness, not overly structured, demanding physically and mentally, very effective.

As far as price goes, think in terms of the generations of knowledge you may be receiving if you have the right attitude.

Used to take part in Ninjukai, not as of late though - Never found enough time to go back.

Dojo is in East Perth.

Very good for mental and physical fitness.

Check out the "Chinese kunfu and taichi academy" in Balcatta,

They do Choy Lay Fut Buk Sing, Northern Shaolin and Chow Gar.

Speak to Sifu George, his masters where the Lacey Brothers and they

were friends with Bruce Lee and trained with him in Wing Chun until they

Found out about CLF BS kung fu.

I was an assistant instructor there for awhile until i did my knee in.
