In WA the police should issue you with a yellow sticker, and theoreticly you'd need to go to the pits with a cat and get emission tested or whatever. I believe its a $10,000 fine for not running one.

Over east they have mobile emission testers and can do you on the spot for no cat & drop the $10k fine on you there and then.

Soo some people saying fines in the thousands .. some people saying just a yellow .. In all, is there a high risk of running catless? (in terms of getting a big fine whacked on you)

On the street it makes bugger all difference, unless you're keen to run 2bar daily the risk vs gain is minimal at best, BUT you shoot great flames with nice overun tuned in

You wont really ever get a yellow for running a catless exhaust provided the rest of the car is kept legal etc. Now, i've been pulled over by the police dozens of times for various offences / rbts / time wasting and not once has any copper had a close look at the exhaust. 9 times of of 10 they will just yellow you for something else (too loud, too low, tinting etc) and then the guys at the pits will pick up on it and either pass it or fail it!

In theory you could face serious fines but how many people has it happened to in WA? Probably very few i would think.
