Anyone live in ballajura??

if so can you please give us your general opinions of the place??

ie schools,shops,jobs etc etc

we gonna head out to there now after looking at loads of places we think this is the one!!

and again our jobs are me wood machinest and wife a care assistant and our little boy who is 7 need to locate a decent ish school????

Any advice would be highly apprecaitted guys

I used to live there about 4 years back. I was on the Lakes Estate side of Ballajura. Very safe, very good schools and shopping. For jobs, theres Malaga next door which is kind of a commercial/industrial kind of area.

Ballajura is very hit and miss.

Fozzy from here lives there, im sure he will have words to say.

On one side you have a suburb close enough to Perth, CBD, right next to the Malaga industrial area, plenty of schools around, etc, etc.

The flip side is that there copious reports on a lot of crime, issues with youth in the area etc etc.

I have a few mates who live in balla's (edit: the lakes area) and it seems pretty good. Pretty quiet sorta place. Schools are schools. Plenty in the area. According to my GF (whos a school teacher) some arent so good but others are.

If you cant get work in Malaga / Wangara / Wanneroo you seriously arent interested.

the closer to alexander drive the better.. if u can get into the lakes area would be alright.. the beechboro road end gets a bit hit and miss..

Plus u got villa da vinci's there too Best pizza's..

Mate send your son to South Ballajura Primary its the best Public school had my daughter there a year ago when we lived there and she flourished. She now is in a school in Beechborro and she seems to be going back wards moving her again next year. And as Mat said Stacks of work in North Perth

so its lakesides i want for renting/buying malaga i guess is on the doorstep for work for both of us??

And South Ballajura Primary is the school we want/need???

I was reading in the paper recently, one of the teachers at Ballajura Community College (High School) got a teacher of the year award or something and got a $100K cheque as a reward

hi my name is gerry whittle, me and my family are emmigrateing to oz early next year some time around march, anyway been adviced off a few poms this is the school to try and get my little one in too??

Could you please give me some advice on how to enroll or when to enroll etc, we are planning to move to ballajura and have been told that lakeside is a nice place to move too.
