Overseas Radar Detector??
 

If i bought a detector from overseas say Hong Kong would it work over here???

There are a lot of shit detectors coming out of Korea / China, so I wouldn't recommend buying anything that's not a name brand.

Yes they will work...to a degree... but will they provide you enough warning, especially against the very low powered Multanova speed cameras used in WA?? Nope.

We've tested (and filmed) around 200 tests against Multanovas, as many of you already know and the cheaper ones just don't give you any advanced warning on Multanovas. In fact the Cobra XRS9330 we tested gave about 2 seconds. Enough to smile as you drove past the camera.

Buy a name brand detector overseas (Whistler, Escort, Valentine, Beltronics) and you have a better chance of getting something that will actually provide you with some kind of warning.
