lame i thought they were closing the entire city
|
hahahaha yeh well some people would say that place has been closed for years mat

They are only getting rid of one car tho. Which isnt sooo bad. Seems a bit silly to have a plant just providing one vehicle.
The rest of the cars will still be imported. So it wont make a huge difference to mitsubishi at all. |

I didnt mean it to sound like that. I understand it will be hard for them. I wasnt trying to be rude. Sorry, i was really more surprised they even had a factory in Australia. But the employee's will be getting compensated a lot of money. They have that atleast to look forward too plus a month to look for another job. I knew some people who were working at WA Salvage when that went under. And the money they got paid was crazy plus they were offered jobs as well at Bunnings. |

Send them over to WA. Everyone knows how short staffed businesses are over here. I would hire 50 people tomorrow (and get rid of some subcontractors) if I could find the right people. Also things like waiting 6 months to get a truck body built is crap. Anyone that can weld can earn great dollars here. Also they could go and work for toyota overseas. Current waiting for a diesel gxl prado is out to nearly nine months. 4x4 Diesel dual cab hilux SR5 is about 7 months. Brendon |
why of all places in aus did they choose to have their plant in adelaide?
