bit of fun.. boss just asked me to solve this,
Being blonde. it took me two or three goes, however, thought id share, You have to take 3 items accross the other side of river, 1 item at a time in your boat. your three items are: Wolf Sheep Bail of Hay Ok go.

Haven't you left out part of the riddle?
If he leaves the wolf and the sheep alone the sheep dies. If he leaves the sheep and the hay alone the hay get eaten. (on either side of the river) Anyway: First he takes the sheep over. Then he goes back and brings the wolf over. On the way back across the river, he brings the sheep back. He leaves the sheep on that side, then takes the hay and brings it to where the wolf is. He brings over the sheep. EDIT: Damn, someone's google skills are better than mine. It appears you actually got your answer from the same site as me too....
