That's pretty pathetic. For so many offences and he gets off with a slap on the wrist essentially. A couple of months in jail, a couple of grand fine and loss of license for a few years - which he can just apply for another license in a different state.
I do love the "devolopmentally delayed" term however. Will definately be using that alot from now on..! |
Jail time for a hoon yet while sitting in court for a driving matter, i've have watched the judge give several serial drink drivers / driving without license and with kids in the car, FAR less fines.
Aren't our jails full anyway? 250kms is STUPID BUT there are far more important criminals that are being let off with a slap on the wrist. Perhaps the real reason is that "hoons" are a bloody easy target. Most are open and shut cases and those people in power "appear" to be making the community safer. Bit easier than tackling domestic violence, junkies B&E etc. You know, the major stuff that affects community |
3 months for hooning without hurting anyone.... 2 years for killing someone
right lol http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,23592728-948,00.html |
And i dont believe he's "slow" either. 55K car is out of the reach for most 20 year olds unless they have decent jobs / skills and lets face it, if you had a son or daughter who was slow you sure as hell wouldnt buy them a 50K hi-po sports car would you?
See thats farken ridiculous smokes. 2 years jail for a junkie who killed for $100. BUT see its much easier to stop a hoon than it is to stop some drug fueled deadbeat The driver who killed one of my best mates got 9 months loss of license and less than 2K fine. |
Sen-Constable Folley said at 250km/h, it would take a car 367m or eight seconds, to stop
Obviously Sen-Constable Folley doesnt have Brembo's on his Commy Cop Car :D
Brembos, Re070, STi suspension, rear wing and ABS should proberly half the statistic. |
Trust me, you can see fine :D
