Thats a load of crap. Geelong did nothing different the whole game. They played crap football for 4 quarters. Freo lost that game all by themselves.

Theres a reason people keep giving them a massive wrap at the start of every season. Because they have talent. And it showed in the 1st and 3rd quarters.

The only reason they keep failing is because of inconsistent play. 1st quarter they broke the lines, went straight towards their end without fucking around with it. Good, direct football. Then they go and fuck it up by screwing around with it, handballing this way, that way, back this way, and it all goes pear shaped.

that was the second best games of footy i think i have ever seen,
first being 2006 afl grand finale where the ewagles beat sydney by 1 point, it was well worth the drive to melbourne

Digging up an old thread but should be a good game this weekend.

Freo have nothing to loose and are playing good footy. Injury list is decent (compared to what it has been) only injuries are 2nd highest goal kicker, best fullback in the comp and one of the best midfielders in the comp so we should go alright.

Plus, the great SuperPav signed up until 2014!!!

All we need for next year is Mundy & McPharlin to re-sign and for us to get a good deal for Tarrant (dont think we can keep him unfortunately) and we are laughing.
