Has anyone seen it.

I had not bought one for a while and stuck up here in Kal bored shitless I bought one. The amount of money that some people are chasing for late model commodores is out of control.

VH Group 3 Commodore - $120k
VK Blue Meanie - $120k
VL Walkie - $100k
VP SS GRP A - $95k
VS HSV GTSR (the yellow one) - $200k

Christ knows if anyone actually buys them but these guys seem on smack.

Brendon

No such thing as a VP Group A SS, it would have been the VN Group A SS (I think all of them where marone/dark red).
There was a one of these for sale about 2-3 years ago which had only 18kms (never rego'ed) & been garaged all that time, went for about 40K.

in regards to the first two, Peter Brock died therefore prices increase significantly as with anything when some one famous dies.

walkys are a little but of a different issue, but being a run of 750 they are considered rare.

VP SS GpA would be a VN GpA, again, limited run but not really $95k more $50 - 70k

VS HSV GTR, definately not 200k, maybe $50 - 70,000 as with the VN esecially when there is another one in there for $110k with 6,700km's.

yes, people do pay/have paid that much. maybe not so much at the moment due to interest rates/stock market but they will keep going up in value, especially the HDT/Brock cars. Plus, because the prices of cars such as Valiant E38/49's, GT Falcons, HG/HK Monaros, A9X Toranas etc have increased so much, people go looking for the next best thing which then drive those prices up and so on. look at the prices of std Falcon 500's or Gt replicas, asking big dollars, as much as a GT was going for 3 or 4 years ago.

plus, same can be said for the 22B's, why are they worth $80 - 100k?

i just put my almost stock bugeye on the market for 95,000 dollars, its worth at least that with the passing of colin mcrae...

i fail to see how the passing of a race car driver would push the prices of a car up, thats ridiculous really and if people are actually paying this sort of cash for those sort of cars they are insane

Too many silly CUB's at the moment and I think a lot of people are trying to make a kill from it.

CUB's can afford a lot of crack, which pretty much explains it all.
