Swan Valley - Your favourite spot!

So I'm heading into the Swan Valley tomorrow to get slightly merry and buy copious amounts of wine. All this got me thinking, what is everyones favourite spot in the valley? Should help locals find a different spot to usual and with a few people being new to the country soon, good info on where to go.

My spots are:

Feral brewing for lunch and a few starter beers;
Baxter Stokes for a long chat and 4 too many wine tastings :D
Upper Reach for being next door :)
Chocolate factory
Nougat factory
Canefire for rum (need some fighting juice at some point :))
Chesters for nice wine and a chat
And being an alcoholic... everywhere in between.

So post up your favourite little spot in the valley so other people can appreciate it too!

Iron Bark brewery. great range of beers on tap and bottled.

Upper reach sucks, worst place in the swan valley
(closely followed behind black swan)

My two picks for best places in the swan valley are Taylors art gallery (the food there is brilliant) and Merrich estate. Sitella is quite good aswell.

What exactly didn't you like about the Black Swan mate?

Sandalford...awesome lunch there! :) Has to be my fave vineyard in the Swan...they have a really good Cabernet at the moment...getting some good ratings by the likes of Jeremy Oliver! :D

Well there were a couple of things
1) i found it was really hot in there (this was probably due to the day that i went on)
2) the food was overpriced for what it was (the ploughmans lunch was quite expensive)
3) it kind of felt like it was a winery that shoehorned a food bit into the side. So its a bit uncomfortable because you have people around you tasting wine while you are trying to eat.

duckstein ftw. badass german beer garden with their own homebrew. awesome food too! and better place to celebrate oktoberfest when it rolls around than a german brewery!!!

I'm a fan of Sittellas for lunch, some good wines too.
