Upgrade to Vista?
A few Qs?
1)My XP version doesn't pass the Microsoft Authenticity test so does that mean the Vista upgrade won't work? 2)Which version is best. I do a lot of DVD burning, movie creation etc but have all my own software so was thinking just basic Home or will I miss out on critical features 3)Is the price pretty much the same wherever u go? |
Vista is a completely different Operating system, if you buy the full valid version AFAIK you will have to reformat computer and reinstall the new Operating system.
Vista IMO is shit, its for more advanced users of the PC. |

install XP with service pack 2 pre-installed if that is the update you are trying to do , you can slso get rid of the Authenticity error

Got so sick of Vista on my new laptop I ditched it & went Ubuntu.
Couldn't be happier. Going to change my home desktop/server too now. Linux FTW !!! |

Stay away. Vista sucks.
Im running XP with Service Pack 3. All is good. |
Ive never seen the big issue with Vista. You all say its crap but it does everything i need to do and doesnt fuck up at all. Only problem i see is that it takes up more space on the harddrive to run it.
Meh. |
I actually like Vista, runs like a dream with my 2.5ghz dual core, 4gb of ram and 320gb hdd.
I believe that the secret to smooth running is having the system resources available for it i.e. lots of ram. |
