yeah, its nicely done with gutters and downpipes etc.

I cant remember how long it took to be honest but it wasnt very long at all. I think it depends on the time of the year. It might be a good time now because its not hot yet... plus you might get a cheaper price than say in summer.

glad i could help and hope you're happy with his services.

D.I.Y is a possibility right now but i am going to get more quotes when i get to work at the new job next week.
seeing as i work in the building industry i should be able to get it way cheaper or at least the materials.
im also thinking a wood frame with colourbond cover might be the go.
i think you'll find wood will be more exxy than steel nowadays..

seriously though get a materials list if you can and my mate will get you a very good price.. he just sorted out a 6m square pyramid patio for another mate of mine and for the materials only minus the roof sheets were around $1k IIRC

heres some pics of our patio straight after it was put up - that whole area is gonna be liquid limstoned, spa'd and bar'd soon, it really is farken huge and cost me about 1/4 of the quotes i was getting ;

update:

hi! , just thought i would post up my quotes F.Y.I

all are the same or close spec of:
gable patio , 6 x 6 , no sky lights , infill to ends , 4 posts , all powdercoated & undercoated , welded , double sided colour on sheeting , trimdeck sheeting

Oasis patios: $14,455

WestCoast Alfresco: $11450

Swan patios: $10800

Sunwise living(ref from mike:SINISTR) $7600

as you can see sunwise was the best price by far AND he used way better materials all around for example where most the other places used 1.2 gauge metal (cheap shit from china) he uses 1.6 and all the beams are the same size so no weak places.
his metal is also double primed , powder coated and galvanised

he was also the most profesional guy and gave the best warenty on his work.

im gonna go with him and save myself the trouble on doing it myself

thanks for the details mike!
