Go to MYER/Alternate buy one of the Italian suits I mentioned or get something tailored.

IMO with your current budget find a good tailor and get them to make something with higher end materials.

I'd recommend one of my wog aunties but they all have arthritis now.

So decided to head into Marchesi in Northbridge. Excellent service and the shop had a great range, tried on about 7 or 8 suits from Hugo Boss to Versace, ended up with a nice Dom Bagnato. Good Aussie suit made in China for just under $1k

Highly recommend them the service was brilliant.
