if its making life miserable, and theyre not playing ball, another option is to offer the landlord a portion of the purchase price, ie, it costs $1k, you put 25% to it.

[QUOTE=wrx oh oh]These little instantaneous gas hot water heaters work only if:

2. you have a standard outlet, cannot use a water saver shower head,

Meatbag,

we had a similar problem with the place we used to rent, used to annoy the shit out of me.

have you got a water saver shower head?? if yes, try removing the little plastic restrictor in the head. we did this and it instantly fixed our problem which was. similar to yours.... every time you touched the taps, hot & cold, even a little, it would turn the system on/off, you could hear it click every time. we were forever turning the hot/cold taps up/down

think i might try the only pay 80% rent till its fixed, I was told by the old girl that i can ring some rental agency (probably the one in the link a few posts back) who can tell me what my rights are as a tenant. I was thinking of not paying rent at all till it was fixed, don't want it to kick me in the bum and ruin my credit rating though!

Now its summer, I can handle a cold shower, hence why im willing to destroy now rather than in winter. + if i do it the day before i fly out, its just the housemates that have to deal with it...
