Default Winblows.. .I mean windows text

I turned on my PC this morning, and all the windows text is in italics, and, some is in bold (that wasnt before) no idea how this happened, I sure didnt do it, and ideas (Im having a brain freeze) on how to put it back to normal?
Its windows Vista by the way

control panel, display properties, appearance and you'll see the font options there.

Nah, been there tried that, all the options are where they should be, I even changed them and then put them back to get it to refresh, didnt work.
Sorry, I should of mentioned that in my original post.
Been through all the font options in the control panel, as well as the options in individial programs (internet explorer) nothing worked.

have u run anti-virus and spyware tools? There's probably an over-riding registry key that wil fix it up, I'll have a look in a min and get back to u.

Yeah I had, it didnt find anything.
I worked out a fix in the end, I copied the fonts from my laptop onto my desktop pc, and re-installed the fonts, seems to be displaying alright now.
Not sure what was the cause though...

Sounds like a corrupted font file. Have seen similar previously, and as you did over writing the font files usually solves it.

Yeah, I figured that much, but as to how it became corrupt I dont know, bloody windows.....
