ANDRA dont answer to CAMS so I seriously doubt any FIA reg would supersede an ANDRA rule.

ANDRA falls under the FIA drag racing comission according to the andrea rule book i have here, which if the FIA ruling is different to the ANDRA one, you'd assume you could use the FIA rules over that of andra's..

Interesting theory, but I don't think it's going to happen down there.
By example if you ran a F1 car at the drags would you be exempt from fitting a parachute? Would you have to remove your wheel weights? lol.
Dealing with scrutineers from any form of motorsport is a bit like taking your car over the pits. Sometimes it's easier to just do what they want, you'll only antagonise them if you point out their obvious chromosomal deficiencies.

I was told that my '08 stilo wrc fia helmet didn't meet their standards. then the scrutineer went and spoke to the cheif scrutineer and he said the numbers were good, but it needed to be full face.
I can see for andra licenced 10.99 and below, or open cars that this is a fair call...
but for any one else it's just silly!
good enough for the fia to let you belt down dirt roads at 200+k lined by trees, edged by cliffs and with occasional wildlife running loose,
But not good enough to travel 400m on a straight sealed surface.

The scrutineer I talked to last Wed said they will be banning open face helmets in the next few weeks and to check the site before I go down next to see if the ban had been applied yet.

Guess more people will just hit the illegal drags now, since this is becoming all too hard or expensive for those who just want to have a quick fang.

Think your onto something.

Increase government funding to turf a few extras to increase the instances of people being hoon lawed.

It's all one great conspiricy propagated by Today Tonight to give them some crap to brainwash the masses
