Default Alpine In-Car DVD - Burnt DVD's

Hi All,

I'm sure some of you have an Alpine DVD player in your car, I have the roof mounted DVD player with screen and it will not play copied/burnt DVD's.

If any of you play these DVD's what blanks are you using that work, this is pissing me off as the shop that sold it too me said it would play these fine.

cheers

depending what format you burnt them into.. are they straight from DVD movie or are they avi, divx or.....and it all comes to whether your player can support them.
have you tried putting an original DVD and check if it works?

I had a lot of trouble with Clone & ended up using Shrink 3.2, seemed to get better results but it's been a couple of years now so not too sure if it's still ok or not.

I can play dvd's copied from the original just fine in my Alpine DVD player. I actually only use copied discs and keep the originals at home.

I use DVD Shrink to rip the dvd, then IMGBurn to burn to a disc.

I have also played dvd's converted from AVI fine as well. I've used Sony DVD's, but have also used a generic brand thats sold in a spindle of 100 too (not sure what brand, but they are a blank white disc).

Never tried playing an avi straight up though.. might give that a crack!

My last alpine IVA-D300 used to only like using DVD+R media..

the best thing about DVD+R is that you can change the bitsetting to DVD-ROM with software

something to think about.
