Seat belt removal = Defective?
 

Okay peoples,

Having a bit of a no brainer with a truck driver at work who has been doing the job for 30 years blah, blah, blah and he seems to think that the fact he has no seat belt for the passenger seat that his truck is fine and not defective.
Now the truck is about 10 years old and came with seatbelts so my thinking as that if it came with it and doesn't have it now he can be yellowed.
I'm the transport planner and couldn't be bothered arguing after about 5 mins so I'm looking for a pdf or similar that I can print out and show him.

If I'm wrong please let me know, otherwise thanks for your help. :)

unless he gets the truck re-registed with 1 seat less, then yes, its deffective. Unless its a pre-1969 car that came with no seatbelts, which you have already stated its not.. so...

stationary, the seats of vehicles of categories M and N as
defined in Annex 7 to the Consolidated Resolution (R.E.3) */
(except those vehicles of categories M2 and M3 which belong to
Classes I or II, according to Regulation No. 36, to Class A,
according to Regulation No. 52 and to Classes I or II and A,
according to Regulation No. 107) must be equipped with
safety-belts or restraint systems which satisfy the requirements

To answer why it is not there, I think it was faulty and never replaced.

Backcharge him at $80 / hr for your time to prove him wrong and then replace him for being a smacktard.

If it is his truck then he is more than likely a sub contractor so you dont have to give any reasons to get rid of him.
