but the point here is that people will/do pay it, and the companies get away with nice profits
i work at the mundaring kfc, and our store made $24000 odd profit after last quarter... thats after labour and all running costs etc... crazy! its a lotta chicken haha

Good luck to them. I don't know too much about the hospitality trade, but I do know about small retail, and I can tell you it ain't no cake walk. You can bust arse, give people good service, pricing as good as possible whilst still being able to keep the doors open, and quality work, yet it still doesn't seem to be good enough!

I don't mind paying decent coin for a meal, if I can validate what I'm paying for. What shits me most is its getting harder to get good service these days at many restaurants/cafes etc.

but i think the recession is gonna change all this... places are going to have to lower their prices to attract customers, and ppl are going to start going to places that they KNOW are good, not just from bullllk shitty advertising or colourful signs lol
and i think that now the availability of jobs/work is drying up, we shall see customer service get better accross the board, as the employees will start to vaule their jobs a bit more :P

cuunt talking shit. the strips use to NEVER overlap each other. When it first came out. the rolls were massive, now its a piece of shit that cost more.

I use to love it back then when they had 2 strip subs for $5
