Impreza R or RX
Hi All,
Got a friend who is looking to buy a brand new Impreza from the R or RX range, around the 23K – 27K (excluding delivery, stamp duty, Rego….) not interested in pre-owned one. Any advice on what to lookout for when buying any of these models? Vegem8 |
well its brand new so nothing should be wrong with it, but for starters, tell them they can wipe off dealer delivery, then work down from there :)

If its new you wouldn't have to look out for much as it will be on new car warranty. So if anything fails, warranty covers it. This is until "he" mods it. Breathing mods, suspension/handling, cosmetic is as far as I would go. If you start playing with wanting to put on a turbo etc etc.. you might as well buy a WRX/STi. If you have to buy an 'R' range go the RS

The sun-roof that opens up is a good feature. It does take up some space so will not suit a tall driver, or hat wearer.
When buying do not let the salespeople talk you into the body protection add-ons as better and cheaper options can be got elsewhere. Insurance and window tinting are probably best done by the owner not the dealer. |
Headroom in the current Impreza's with sunroof is absolutely fine.

Yeah, dont get sucked into dealer supplied tint or paint protection. Absolute load of shite.

talk tough with them, I got my RS for close to that drive away.

I work at Subaru in Osborne Park.
Just a heads up that the low prices Subaru have been offering are about to go up so negotiating will get a little more difficult. If you come down, speak to Cale in New Cars and tell him Stuart in the Used Car Department sent you down. He should be able to set you up with a good drive-away deal. GOOSE |
Thanks guys, will pass on the precious tips.
I will let you know how he goes. Vegem8 |
