He does pay his taxes, not on his second job, i guess majority of tradies are doing it illegal as they prefer doing cash jobs - even though some of them write a reciept, of course they write it down lower than what you actually pay them.

Oh wells. i guess all the tradies are lined up to catch up with the ATO as well.
Lol...why would you take a 2nd job if you had an issue with being taxed accordingly.

He is not paying all the tax he owes so he is not really paying his taxes.

There is nothing wrong with being paid cash for a job as long as its treated correctly. Undervaluing the job just to reduce your tax payments is dodgy.

If this bloke can make $500 / week doing a few cash in hand jobs why doesnt he make it his full time job and earn himself thousands a week?

There is no way to defend what he is doing, plain and simple he is making a living and not paying tax which is illegal.

Try working 50+ hours a week and getting taxed a shitload while other people loaf around and screw the system at your expense and see how you like it mate. But hey fuck everyone else as long as I'm okay right?

Yeah mate, how about there isnt' enough demand for it to make it a full time job... yet.

I dont know the figures behind his second job. I know that he is on the tax books for BOTH jobs, but i know that he doesn't claim it all on the second one. Yes it may sound dodgy but he could POSSIBLY note down 300 while he is making 400-500 right?? oh wells, his problem not mine, was just asking for suggestions any how

I work as an auditor of the ATO and find this info very interesting, we
will be in contact with you shortly for more information concerning the identity
of this person.

Or you could just tell him to just pay me half of what he gets each week
and the matter will not be taken any further

Maybe I read this wrong...is he declaring his 2nd income or not?

If he is on the books and has declared half of what he is really earning then that is tax evasion

BOTH jobs are on the books but second job's income more than what he has written down.

Oh well, whatever he does is his problem, not mine
