delete your cookies and offline files from internet options under control panel. Also are you using IE or Firefox? If IE then swtich to Firefox now. Free download and you will experience a lot fewer issues.

Tried it in another browser besides IE ?

scoobygez 09-04-2009 11:36 AM

will try that cookies option now yeah using ie....

saturation 09-04-2009 11:40 AM

as above see if the same happens with mozilla, will narrow it done to a system option or a browser option

scoobygez 09-04-2009 11:47 AM

right just logged on there left it a few minutes went to post and i was logged out!!

so should i dowload firefox as a search engine???

also cleaned the temp files and deleted cookies...

Elrico 09-04-2009 12:44 PM

Firefox isnt a search engine. Its a program that immitates Internet Explorers capabilities and has less crashes etc.

scoobygez 09-04-2009 03:16 PM

any other ideas/suggestions???

Rexy03 09-04-2009 04:03 PM

Mate if I where you I would format the Hard Drive and start fresh
If you need any software give me a call.............

scoobygez 09-04-2009 04:35 PM

Mark i wouldnt know were to start lol

i think it may of been formmated before i got it as there was virtually nothing on it all.

Rexy03 09-04-2009 05:56 PM

Unlikely they would have reinstalled windows from new
most likely they just uninstalled most software and deleted personal files
so its probably running a bit sick........and you dont know what spyware is on it which is probably whats causing your problems
Format and reinstall FTW IMO

scoobygez 09-04-2009 06:15 PM

i still wouldnt know were to start mark!!

as in i have never done it :(

Rexy03 09-04-2009 06:22 PM

Bring it around and Ill show Ya....

scoobygez 09-04-2009 10:27 PM

Rossco 09-04-2009 10:31 PM

scoobygez 10-04-2009 09:08 AM

Miggidy 10-04-2009 11:05 AM

try Opera web browser we had the same issue with ebay and the new IE/firefox

saturation 10-04-2009 12:40 PM

this may sound stupid, but make sure your ticking log me in automatically when you login, or save my details etc.

also you might have to over=ride cookie handling to force it to accept cookies from that forum.

From your initial post im hazarding a guess that this is happening only on the one website and not other sites you login to like hotmail etc ?

scoobygez 10-04-2009 12:58 PM

no nothing else just that website!! and only on this laptop nothing else!!

RichX 10-04-2009 01:05 PM

When you log onto a forum and you ask to save your details, these details are generally stored in the form of a cookie, mmm cookie. Anyway, try clearing your iExplore Cache/Cookies and then re-login to the site and see how you go.

I know it's been mentioned above but that's all it could really be .. ?? Other than that, make sure the laptop is fully up to date from the MS Updates site and is running iExplore 7/8 and/or Google Chrome/Mozilla/Opera or whatever.

scoobygez 10-04-2009 01:10 PM

yeah its running firefox mozilla now, i did it yesterday as for cookies cache cleared them with temp internet files, and now i am logged on as we speak with log me in automatically so gonna go back in a minute and see if its still on...............

its doing my head in lol
