avi to dvd
 

Trying to find a good program (free) that converts Avi
to DVD format ready to burn to disc to watch on dvd player.

Have tried few different ones they end up being trials or take 2 hours to convert. have seen some that do quickly like 30 mins etc.

Yeah I used to use Nero Vision until I upgraded my DVD player. Unsure the speed of your computer but it used to take me approx. 2hrs per movie to convert.

You need a version of nero that contains nero vision
Nero 7 essentials is the go if you can get or download a copy

convertxtodvd is good as well

Yeah should have mentioned that Nero Express or StartSmart will not be able to convert it. As Rexy03 has said you need to "obtain" a copy of Nero v9 that you can download from Nero's website [url]http://www.nero.com/ena/downloads-nero9-update.php[/url] and "obtain" a key that will allow you to select the full nero suit inc Nero Vision.
