Broken auto-link, sir.

Try this one.

**edit: That's also fucking hilarious. Right up there with the guy who drilled a hole straight into his rocker cover to fit a NOS kit on his Honda....

I am sure he didn't do it like this twit.

I have seen an inert liquid you can do this sort of thing with. As a demo
they lowered a working PC into a tub of the liquid, screen and all.
It just kept running. Very strange to watch coz the liquid was clear and
looked just like water. Cost about $100 for a cup of it, so not the
cheapest option.

i've seen someone running a complete PC in a bath with distilled water and an aircon unit place over the bath.

There have been a few 'submerged computers' listed online, not something I'd try myself though.

As previously mentioned you can get some really neat non conductive liquids, but I've seen a few articles where people have built the PC, then completely sealed the motherboard, RAM, expansion cards, etc, so it could all be run submersed in water.

Interesting stuff... only for the extremely hardcore (read: nerdy) though.

i'm confused. what liquids are non conductive to electricity? even distilled water or deionised water will still have partial conductivity as nothing can be perfectly pure?

Guyz, read the whole thing, or just cut straight to the last page... it was a large scale wind-up and a convincing one at that !!!

The thread's been going for almost 3 years... only in Ireland could this happen, yeh?
