Default Go Carts - Jacks Hill Climb

All organised and deposit is paid. It will be 3pm Sunday 31st May at Jacks Hill Climb. We are doing the mini grand prix which consists of a 10 minute session for practice, and then 2 races of 5 laps each. Cost is $50.

To get there, go to Barbagello raceway. Get inside the gate and take first left. We will meet up there, pay me the balance and sign on to drive. We then continue up the track to Jacks Hill.

I will be at Maccas Joondalup hopefully before 2pm to depart to Barbagello at 2.15 for those that want to go in convoy.

So far I have;

Just in case people were wondering they use the top half of the hill climb and circle back making more a traditional kart track with a brilliant down hill braking area.

Karts are a single 270cc engine but are plenty fast enough and better than the others I have been to (haven't been to the other wanneroo kart track).

Car Racing Tracks are for Cars (unless it is a superkart...... or a truck)

Reckon they would be good on Jack's Hill. The short track on the main track is just to fast for them. Only need to brake for the hairpin and just takes all the skill out of it. A few braking zones show up the ones that can drive over the ones that got the lucky dip best cart.

I just went last night for the short-track "Maxi Grand Prix" (4x 5 laps) for a mate's b.day (10 in our group, and about another 10 from another i.e. 20 all on track). Had an absolute blast

Def agree that the only proper braking point is for the hair pin (where I did a fair bit of passing ). The hill climb track looks more technically fun and challenging to drive, but being significantly narrower than Barb's (and seeing how it's like to pass on Barb's 12m wide track in karts), I'd imagine passing would be more difficult.
