Hey All,

We're in the middle of building our new home and am thinking of putting a marine aquarium in a recess in the living area.

Went to a place today and got a quote for $13 - $15k fully installed with fish, reef and coral Wasn't quite expecting that kinda $$

Anyone got any experience in aquariums? Does this sound right? Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

The aquarium would be 1500w x 600d x 700h.

Sounds pretty well priced if you ask me. Especially for live rock to fill a tank that size.

Depends how you go about it can be done alot cheaper if you are prepared to invest some time in it... I used to be in the game and had a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft that now lives in another members house converted to freshwater now but used to be full marine..
