who uses a 'trickle' battery charger?
Greetings,
i am starting to annoy at having to constantly call the RAC to jump start my rex after coming back to perth from work. its a brand new battery, and RAC tested the battery showing only a very minor leak. so i am thinking of attaching a trickle charger, however i have no idea where to buy one from. i am also more inclined in trying to see if its possible to purchase a solar powered trickle charger. if anyone has a solar powered trickle charger would love to hear from you. (where you bought it, or how u set one up) cheers. |

I've got one of these, haven't used it much but it seemed to keep the battery charged while I was using it, best to cut the plug off & attach a couple of small clips so it hooks straight to the battery, even suggests this with the instructions.

I have one of these, used to keep it attached to my WRX for 6 week stints. You can even mount it permanently.
I now have it connected to our boat. Projecta Charge n Maintain Cost me $70 from Autowest (Autopro) Mandurah Forum. |

Projector 1600ma live on the bike and car whenever it will be more than a couple of days between uses.
Buy the motorbike harness and you have leave it connected to the battery and just plug in to the plug whenever you want to connect. Way easier than using the bulldog clips. Rate them a very good thing.

I have a battery maintainer I bought from J Car (Powertech), use it on the race car as I only used it once a month, works a treat.
