Banning Radar Detectors
 

Did you see that fat ugly F*#ker michelle roberts :snorting: on the news talking about banning radar detectors :mad: .She made it sound like everyone in perth has a detector in their car, and because they have, is driving around like a mad idiot that is never going to get caught speeding.I only wish they did work that well. To make it worse you will be up for a $2000 fine if you get caught using one :eek: :eek: There is some oppostion to it but i'm sure she will have her way

You better save your cash for the moment 'cos they want to bring it in as soon as they can.Either that or have your $2k tucked away somewhere incase you get caught. It will probably be confiscated aswell, although they didn't mention anything about that, but that is what they do in the east.I am going to feel naked without mine, I have been using one for about 15-16 years.

u are kidding me, ffs thats stupid i'm about to buy my 1st one. that suck much, are they making it illegal to have them or illegal to use them cause if its illegal to use them just rip it down and put it in glove box they can search and find it and what can they do? You wern't using it? In america its illegal to use radar detectors but not to own one?

In the east they have the right to search your car if they think you have one.That is something else that wasn't mentioned but will probably be the same here.

yeah thats fine, but if its not plugged in, therefore not in use when they pull u over, they can't fine u? Like i said in America, its illegal to use a radar detector but not own one, so most people get a fine over there for the use of one but they dont' get it confiscated. Any1 here know the rules for over east on Detectors? Is it illegal to Own as well as use one? Or is it just illegal to use a radar detector?

Fair dinkum, she is the biggest waste of space that the state government has, talk about focusing on the little things, when the big issues keep getting shoved aside.

I use a detector, but I dont go speeding around like an idiot, I actually reckon they make you drive/concentrate better.
