Thanks, it's takin' a while, but it's nearly all done.

It's a weird setup, runs a 24' rear rim, and 26' front. Had to get the rear rim specially built, also run offsetted to the brake side and all sorts of weird and wonderful things.

My bets the first thing to break will be the quick release axle haha.

24" rear rim will be awesome mate. Should be pretty tough to buckle as it's a little smaller and also lets you lean back a bit when you're going down hills.

I want to build/get something similar, just can't justify the money though as i would hardly ever ride it. I want to get another hardtail again to ride to work/uni and just punt around up in the hills every now and then

this is mine and my G/f's pushies! neither are anything too special but do the job well. only ride for fun and a little fitness

the G/f's is a 2011 Avanti Vie ( last photo ) and mine ( first photo ). mine... well bought it around 15 yrs ago and from memory is a Malvern Star... but... i took all stickers off it when i first got it! i quite like the bike, never seen another like it and have tried googling to find out more but can't seem to find it! it has zoom handle bars, zoom seat post ( q/r ), great wall rims ( q/r ), q/r breaks, rst front shocks etc etc.

pretty crap photos but there all we have at the moment!

I've spent the last two weeks restoring an old Repco road bike. Nothing flash, just a basic model, and it was a pile of rust when I got it. I stripped the frame back, repainted it, picked up some whitewall tyres and have been taking bits and pieces off a couple of other bikes to replace the parts I couldn't clean up.

I'm finally putting it back together and it's looking very nice - basically a bit of retro fun to go with my three other bikes. (A MTB built from junked bits and pieces, a nice road bike with Shimano 600 gear and the TBE hybrid I just used for the Santos bike ride.)

One thing about putting together an old bike - you can do it inside the house and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than doing up a car!

Pretty sure there's another thread out there regarding pushies but this is all I can find.

So looking at getting a better bike and have been recommended the following 'they also fit into a price range I'm prepared to pay'.

Bike No. 1

Polygon Helios C4, Carbon Fork, 105 2013

Bike No. 2

Giant Defy 1 2013

Any others people can recommend, and anyone got a hookup 'either local or interstate'?

Looking into prices, and welcome any input.

Cheers,
