In-car camera mount

I want to buy a in-car camera mount so that I can take in-car video while driving, basically for a bit of fun.

I already have a DV Camera but need something to mount it too, does anyone know of a good product or a place that I could ask?

Anyone done this before?

Thanks.

Thanks, that would be nice if I had an MY94-MY00 (but I have an MY04). :(

Thanks chee, thats more like it!

I did a quick search and it seems they are around $200, bit more than I expected actually. I'll email some of the local camera stores to see if they have this one.

There is the Manfrotto window mount that goes over the window (not suction cup) called #243. I've used this one a fair bit.
#241 isn't too bad, however have yet to use it on the window as I can't get the right angle with the #486RC2 ball head with the addition of a big ass camera on top. Man, I sound like a photo nerd from all these numbers lol.

In one of the issues of Autosalon I got, they show you how to make one that fits in between your headrest and the main seat body of your front seat, by drilling some holes into like a steel rod and mounting the camera on the rod.

I got the above equipment from Plaza Cameras, though anyone that sells Manfrotto should be able to hook you up with it.

* & yeah it ain't cheap (but I think it reasonable price), but thats Manfrotto for you
Thanks chee, thats more like it!
great thing about the Manfrotto is, you can stick it anywhere on/in the car.
so if you have a DSLR with a remote control, there are some phenomenal photos to be had :D i want one!

I did a couple of test shots last night while I was bored using the suction mount. All I need to do now is spend around $2k on a custom rig so I can pull stuff like this off .... www.eastonchang.com
