Default Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Con Info...

Hi All,
Posting on here worked well last time when I required services, so here goes again...

I am chasing 2 things..
1. Thoughts on Ducted Air Con brands, Fujitsu, Daikin, etc...
2. If someone works in the Air Con business that I can take our business too.

Looking at a Ducted Reverse Cycle 4-5 zones & 7 or 8 outlets.

Thanks in advance, any advice and or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ashley

yup i've got 5 zones, 9 outlets + 12 or 13 kw motor...daiken cost me $12k installed. happy with it thus far. Much quieter than the fujitsu system my parents have but cost and extra gran or two. As far as I'm aware

daiken > fujitsu

We have Temperzone 6 Zones 10 outlets with a 12KW Motor

It was $12K and the biggest waste of money ever.

A total piece of shit with at least 2 breakdowns a year and a guaranteed $700 power bill when running it sparingly throughout summer.

It is also that noisy you can forget about sleeping with it on at night.

We've had a 5 zone 10 outlet Fujitsu single phase inverter unit for about 8 years now.
Faultless running and very quiet. Cost at the time was a shade over 8k installed.

Would have no issue doing the same again.
Jeff Mouritz did the install.

We had Daiken come out and quote. They seemed more interested in commercial units and fleecing people of money.

I went the Daikin system Ducted, 12 outlets, with the new Blue back lite all in one keypads, not the old two separated keypads, (big difference trust me)

Also second keypad up stairs.
originally was quoted 13.5k which was bargained down from 15k. on the day of paying we gave them cash and got it down to 11k.

Unit has been great works well. the controllers are 8 zone controllers, so common areas that have few outlets are on same zone.

oh and went for single phase Inverter system. Was going to be 3 phase but we changed it.

Thanks guys thats the exact sort of info I am chasing. Daikin & Fugitsu seem to have the best names, Price varies a fair bit though.

Anyone heard anything about LG or panasonic?

They make TV's don't they ???

I always thought Daikin was the best of the best for quality.

Cant say i have used any other brands. Seen various ones in peoples house's but haven't heard a lot of feedback on them.

But we have stuck Daikin in our house, in laws, and brother inlaws all with out issue.

Hey NVRENUF,
That sounds pretty good, would you mind PM'ing me who that was from. From what I've read so far, if I can get a Daikin under $10K I'd be pretty happy... Given that my unit will be somewhat smaller than yours, not out of the question i believe.

Cash is always a winner.. I will be paying cash, so hopefully can come up with a similar deal.

Cheers.

yeah with the amount of outlets and zones you want. I would be wanting it less than 10k also. but who knows.

mine was install in December 2008 how ever January 2008 was when i made the original deal, as all the ducting had to be installed during construction. then December they fitted off all the components.

So i can't say what sort of deal these guys would give you now. but at least with prices that a few people here have given you at least you know what ball park you should be in.

Thats the people who did mine.
funny the images of houses on the main page the bottom house is my Inlaws haha.

EDIT:
This is the new controller they do, not shown on the website, dont get the older style controllers they are shit, Hard to use and program.
